Acimac and Ucima demerge the MECS research centre, which becomes an autonomous limited liability company in which the two associations remain major shareholders. The acronym is maintained but now stands for “Manufacturing economic studies”. The logo is changed and activities are extended to all sectors linked to manufacturing machinery.
